The Welsh pony farm was established in 1970 by Mrs Jean Bocquillon. It currently has 3 broodmares and their foals.
Depending on their size, they are categorized into four categories:
The Welsh A at the origin of the breed and which must not exceed 1m22. It was used in mines.
Miniature horse, it is perfect for young children
The welsh B from a cross that took place a hundred years ago between the welsh A and the Arabian thoroughbred. It is still used today to transport farmers to the prairies of Wales. It must not exceed 1m37. It is currently used for children who practice equestrian sports. Noblesse du Logis, a livestock product, was french champion in show jumping in 1981.
The welsh cob C must not exceed 1m50 and has a large frame that allows it to participate in competitions and reassemble adults.
The welsh cob D from a cross between the A and the C is the versatile animal par excellence.
Breeding is defined by a "Logis" affixe of its own. Many champion ponies have emerged in their model and competition category. Particular attention is given to produce subjects with the welsh type, with a lot of kindness with children and able to perform well.
